PEOPLE'S SOLIDARITY HUB

Looking for an in person politicized somatics practice group?
A regional somatic practice group is launching here in Durham, NC at the People’s Solidarity Hub! 🎉
The group is FREE and is sponsored by @generative.somatics as an investment in organizers in the South!
The space will be led on rotation by 2-3 practitioners, including Eliana @sanctuary_embodied , and Yashna @yashnamayacreates who have been trained by generative somatics as well as rooted in other healing modalities and political education. Our PSH director & somatics practitioner, Jen @jenrskeez, is also excited to be a guest facilitator and in a support role for the group!
What will we do?
Each participant will use the time to learn about themselves and their own transformation through consistent somatic practice. We will do a combination of somatics, pair shares, journaling and more. This is not a trauma therapy space, nor a space for one on one healing. This is not a training for trainers where you’ll be able to take techniques back to your organizations. This will be a space of reflection, resourcing, and resilience building. You do not need prior experience in somatics to attend.
When is it?
The sessions will be twice a month and once you register, you can drop into one or all of the sessions. The will be every other Wednesday from 6-7:30pm starting Wed April 3rd.
Registration encouraged: https://bit.ly/generativesomaticsdurham

FARMERS B.A.G.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) developed “Standards for the Growing, Harvesting, Packing, and Holding of Produce for Human Consumption” known as the Produce Safety Rule. The rule sets forth procedures, processes and practices that minimize the risks for consumers of eating raw fruit and vegetables that could be contaminated with bacteria, viruses or parasitic organisms that cause foodborne illness.
In an effort to educate farmers, The Produce Safety Program within the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is offering three workshops in collaboration with North Carolina State University, North Carolina State Extension, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
This workshop can only accommodate a limited number of attendees so be sure to register now. Registration for each workshop will close once the 30 person registration limit is reached, or 2 days before the workshop date. Register using the links below:
